Frequently Asked Questions!
On this page you will find information to help you navigate Teams, Infinite Campus, Microsoft Word, and some General Computer knowledge
Teams
How do I Navigate Teams- See the resource buttons below.
Where can I Find Assignments- Assignments can be found in the Assignments tab in the General Channel, or as a post in the General Channel. Assignments may also be found on the Class Website under the Unit Page.
How do I Turn in Late Work- Late work can be turned in by emailing them to Ms. Chapman, or by placing the assignment in the "Turn In Bin" for physical assignments. Once a Unit Test has been given no late work will be accepted or graded.
What does each Teams Channel contain? -
General: This channel will contain assignment posts, general announcements, etc.
Agendas: Each day an agenda will be posted that contains the lesson objective, What we do in class, and a list of any due dates.
Study Materials: Here you will find links to kahoots, Blookets, or other relevant materials to help you study for each unit, or for the Milestone Exams.
Breakout: When we do group work, this channel will be used for you and your groupmates to work together virtually. This channel will be explained as we do group assignments.
Infinite Campus
How do I Check my Grades?: Please see the diagram to the right.
1. Log Into Infinite Campus
2. Select "Grades" in the main menu (the three lines in the upper
left hand corner of the web page)
3. Find the course you want to check
4. Click on "Course Progress" or "Semester 1 Average"
5. From here use the "+" and "-" buttons to expand each grade
category.
6. Now you should be able to see each assignment that is
posted, any flags on each assignment, and notes for each
assignment added by your teacher
Why is my assignment marked as "Missing": If you assignment
has the "missing" flag, that means that Ms. Chapman did not
receive your assignment. If you know you turned in the
assignment, please reach out to Ms. Chapman. Occasionally
the "missing" flag will be selected on accident. This is usually
the case if your assignment has a grade other than zero, and
has the missing flag.
How do I See what assignments I'm missing?:
Log into Infinite Campus and follow the instructions posted
above, and in the diagram to the right.
How can I recover my zeros or missing assignments?:
Since late work is not accepted once we finish a unit, please make sure you are turning in work on time. Recovery options may be given at Ms. Chapman's discretion, but are not guaranteed.

Microsoft Word/General Computer
Save documents-
1. If a File is already saved to your computer, click on the "Save Icon" in the upper left-hand corner -->
If your file is saved in OneDrive you can select the "Auto Save" option in the upper left hand corner.
2. Click on "File" and Select "Save" (For documents already saved on your computer) or "Save As" (for documents you have NOT saved to your computer, or to save a second version of a file)
Save "Read Only Files"-
A File is usually "Read Only" if you download it. Read Only files need to be saved to your computer for changes to be saved. I recommend saving them in your Georgia Studies folder, or the folder of the associated class.
Create a Georgia Studies Folder-
Minimize all of your open windows so that you can see your desktop. Right click, and a menu will pop up. Select "New" and then select "New Folder". It will appear on your Desktop and you can rename it.
Find Downloaded documents-
Click on the "Files" icon on your toolbar-->
1. Then find the location where you saved the document.
2. If you did not choose a location it should be located in your "Downloads" folder. From there you can move the file to your desired location
3. Select "Quick Access". This section shows you your most recently opened files/documents. From there you can move the file to your desired location.
