Announcements

  • Enrichment opportunities are available on the "Enrichment" page of this website. These assignments give students the opportunity to interact with the Georgia Studies Standards outside of the assigned classwork. Enrichment assignments are completely optional, but can be done for credit.

  • Vocabulary Binders are a semester-long assignment that will be graded towards the end of the Fall and Spring semesters.

  • In class each student has a Classroom Storage Folder where they can store past assignments and any other GA Studies related things. The hope is that before Milestones students can take their work from the folder to help them study for Milestones! It also allows students to keep their binders better organized.

  • Class Supplies: If you would like to buy supplies to support the Georgia Studies class, here are some items that are needed!

  1. Hand Sanitizer

  2. Tissues

  3. Candy for rewards (Peppermints, Smarties, Bags of Assorted Fun-Sized Candy (chocolate and non-chocolate varieties), etc.

  4. Highlighters

  5. Classroom Snacks (Chips, Peanut Butter or Cheese Crackers, Fruit Gummies, etc)

  • 8th Graders will have the opportunity to go to the Civil Rights Museum in Atlanta towards the end of March. Further details will be provided as we get closer to the field trip dates.
